Added Payment Only Allocation to Loan Tape API
September 30, 2026
Loan Tape APIs
Credit Programs
None
Overview
Customers can now isolate how payments that hit an end user account for a given day were waterfalled and applied to the different balance buckets
Details
The data in the payment_only_allocation object is a subset of the payment_allocation. But whereas payment_allocation shows all kinds of credits that affected a financial_account for a given day, payment_only_allocation is only the credits where family == PAYMENT
- The JSON schema is the exact same for
payment_only_allocationandpayment_allocation(See below) - Payment application order is the same between the 2 objects
- Since payment_allocation summarizes all credits to the
financial_account, it is best used as a tool for reconciliation across the balance buckets - Since
payment_only_allocationsummarizes only payments to thefinancial_account, it can be used as a reporting tool for lenders looking to understand financials for end user payments, and overall program health across the balance buckets
