Impact
New rule binding option available
Audience
All customers using Auth Rules

Overview
Authorization Rules now support Business Account level rule bindings. This enhancement enables programs to apply authorization logic across all cards or accounts associated with a Business Account token, streamlining rule management for B2B card programs. Rules can be configured at the Business Account level through both the API and the Lithic Dashboard.
Configuration Options
Programs can now bind authorization rules at four levels:
- Program Level: Rules applied to all cards or accounts in the program
- Business Account Level: Rules applied to all cards or accounts associated with the given
business_account_tokens
- Account Level: Rules applied to all cards or accounts associated with the given
account_tokens
- Card Level: Rules applied to specific cards
Implementation
When creating or updating auth rules, specify Business Account tokens in the business_account_tokens
field. This field functions identically to the existing account_tokens
field but accepts Business Account tokens instead of individual Account tokens.
Rules bound to Business Account tokens apply to all current and future cards or accounts associated with that Business Account, eliminating the need to update rules when new cards are issued.

User Impact
