New "Tags" Available on Cards

Cards API
New tags field on the card object
All customers using the Cards API
None
Overview
Beginning Thursday, October 8th, cards support tags, a map of key-value pairs that users can set and read through the Cards API. Users can attach their own metadata to a card, such as a risk tier or a program segment.
Details
The card object includes a tags field on every endpoint that returns a card. POST /v1/cards accepts tags as the card's initial tags. PATCH /v1/cards/{card_token} merges the supplied tags into the card's current tags:
- A supplied key is added, or overwritten if it exists.
- A key with a
nullvalue is removed. - An omitted key does not change.
A card can have at most 50 tags. Keys can be up to 40 characters, and values can be up to 500 characters.
Example: Updating Tags
curl -X PATCH https://api.lithic.com/v1/cards/7ef7d65c-9023-4da3-b113-3b8583fd7951 \
-H "Authorization: $LITHIC_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"tags": {
"risk-level": "high",
"legacy-program": null
}
}'This request sets risk-level to high, removes legacy-program, and keeps all other tags on the card.
