Multiple Updates
PAR ID Support in Tokenization Endpoints and Events
A Payment Account Reference (PAR) is a non-financial reference identifier assigned to each
unique PAN and can be used to link a PAN with its affiliated tokens generated by the network. Starting on Tuesday, January 21th, the pan_unique_reference_id
will be returned in the response for the following:
- Get a card's tokenizations endpoint
- Get a single card tokenization endpoint
- Simulate a card's tokenization endpoint
- Update digital card art for a card tokenization endpoint
- tokenization.updated event
Note: our tokenization.approval_results event currently has a field pan_unique_reference
. This field references another data element used by Visa, however it will be deprecated in the future. Please take note to use the pan_unique_reference_id
when looking for the PAR ID for either Visa or Mastercard networks.
New ASA field - acceptor_terminal_id
acceptor_terminal_id
Beginning on Tuesday, January 28th, a new field will begin populating in the pos.terminal
object of Authorization Steam Access (ASA) requests.
The Acceptor Terminal ID value uniquely identifies a terminal at the card acceptor location of
acquiring institutions or merchant POS systems.
Note: This change is purely additive and will not affect existing integrations. For more information about this addition after its release, please see the API Reference.
