Overview

Lithic's customers are now able to indicate that an externally-funded financial_account used stablecoin for the funding method. Creating External Payments with this category carries the same behavior as any other category within the API.

Details

Customers can call the Create External Payment API using category = EXTERNAL_STABLECOIN
The External Payment lifecycle will follow the same flow as other External Payments.

External Payments vs Lithic-managed Stablecoin
Note that External Payments is used to indicate payments processed by a 3rd party rather than Lithic. Lithic also has native Stablecoin payment processing, but that is accessed via our Payments endpoints. See our guide to learn more about the differences.
