New timestamp fields in 3DS and backtest payloads
Customers using Lithic 3DS or Authorization Rules backtests
None, this change is additive only
Overview
3DS authentications now include an updated timestamp, and the three_ds_authentication.challenge webhook now includes a created timestamp. Authorization Rules backtest results now include a created timestamp. Card programs can use these fields to order events, detect changes to an authentication, and measure the time between steps of a 3DS flow.
Details
3DS Authentication Object
The 3DS authentication object has a new updated field. It holds the date and time when Lithic last updated the authentication. The value is equal to created until the authentication is updated, for example when a challenge is completed. The field is always present and uses the ISO 8601 format yyyy-MM-dd'T'hh:mm:ssZ.
The authentication object appears in these payloads, so all of them carry the new field:
three_ds_authentication.createdwebhookthree_ds_authentication.updatedwebhookthree_ds_authentication.approval_requestdecisioning requestauthentication_objectin thethree_ds_authentication.challengewebhookGET /v1/three_ds_authentication/{three_ds_authentication_token}response
3DS Challenge Webhook
The three_ds_authentication.challenge webhook has a new top-level created field. It holds the date and time when Lithic emitted the challenge event. The field is always present and uses the ISO 8601 format yyyy-MM-dd'T'hh:mm:ssZ.
Backtest Results
Backtest results have a new created field. It holds the date and time when the backtest was requested. The field is always present and uses the ISO 8601 date-time format.
Backtest results appear in these payloads, so both of them carry the new field:
GET /v2/auth_rules/{auth_rule_token}/backtests/{auth_rule_backtest_token}responseauth_rules.backtest_report.createdwebhook
